Vision
The Call
We believe that Christ has called us to plant a church in Colorado Springs. Why plant a church? We believe the church is the main tool in which the Gospel is advanced. The Springs is not a highly churched area, with nearly half of its residents claiming no religious affiliation at all. We hope and pray to see this change through our church and many more like it. To see Christ glorified, the believers equipped for every work of ministry, relational discipleship in and out of the church, radical generosity between the church and its community, and the Gospel spread in Colorado Springs through word and action!
What is a residency?
A church planting residency is a time of training to plant a church. I have over a decade of vocational ministry experience, but church planting is a whole different world. The residency is a 3 year
program that allows me to train, learn, and equip in a hands on fashion with a church plant local to the area!
Planting a church
This is a big and long term goal. To plant a gospel centered church that is self sufficient. We want to see the Gospel spread throughout the world and we believe Christ has asked us to start in the Springs. We intend to plant a church that is community centric built on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, discipleship, relationship, and generosity. A church that reaches into its community, is involved in its community, and helps its community thrive.
The Goal
Our goal is be the best church FOR our community. To be heavily involved in our local community reaching those far from Jesus, and organically woven into the culture while holding to the sovereignty and total governance of Jesus Christ and the absolute authority of scripture.
